The Club owns a 700 hectare bush property in a picturesque valley near Bredbo, about 60 kms south of Canberra. This property has been developed for driver training, training and other related activities, camping, and Club social activities. Club members and their families have year-round access to this facility for anything from day trips to extended periods.

Larger group camping areas and more secluded sites are being set up to provide a range of camping experiences. Most of these sites have creek frontage and provide great places for social activities, big or small, or to just sit with a good book and enjoy the bush views. The larger group camping areas are located close to established facilities including a kitchen, ablutions and water supply, while the more secluded sites cater for those preferring to bond with nature and engage the great outdoors
Overlooking the main camp site
Talooge, derived from the phrase "To always look over our great environment", is the base for Club driver training courses on the network of fire trails and other tracks developed by Club members that range from easy to challenging. Members are also able to practice their four wheel driving skills they have learnt on these courses when they visit the property.
But Talooge is much more than just a driver training area. It provides Club members with a great place to learn new skills or just get away from it all and relax in the bush. It is used for bushwalking as well as training courses in related four wheel driving skills such as map and GPS navigation, first aid, safe use of chainsaws, native plant identification and for bush skills weekends, when members with skills ranging from camp-oven cooking to GPS navigation and repairing a flat tyre show other members how it's done.

Our property has a range of facilities including a training room and associated kitchen, shelters, BBQs and fire pits, toilets and shower, plenty of water (but not recommended for drinking) and a children's recreational area.
Maps are available which provide an informative and detailed overview of Talooge including driving tracks, positions of camping areas, water supplies, fireplaces, walking trails, lookouts and children's outdoor recreational area.
